I am filing for IR-1/CR-1 visa for my spouse and eventually will have to contend the filing out an I-864 form.

I have a question regarding Part 5. Sponsor's household size:

On entry 21a you account for the individual that you are sponsoring.

On entyr 21b you account for yourself.

On entry 21c you are asked if you are married. This counts as another individual.

If the individual that you are sponsoring is already your wife (married before submitting

the I-130 application) then indicating that you are married on entry 21c will artificially

inflate the size of the household by one.

Is this what is really intended?

Has anyone had any experience in this area that might shed some light on this situation?

Thank for any assistance.

You don't count them twice, 21c should be 0. That is how i filled mine and was accepted just fine.
