I received my K1 packet from the CDJ embassy today. They told me that it could take up to 5 weeks for my fiance to receive the packet in Mexico. Are the two packets identical? Will the cover letter I received, which said Dear (his name - not mine) work as his appointment letter that is needed for the medical exam and the appt.

Can we go ahead and go to CDJ or do we need to wait for his?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to go this weekend if I can use my packet!

I don't know, but that's a good question. Hopefully someone answers this question, come on guys, what do you think? My fiance will also be going to Ciudad Juarez. Good luck

Yes you can use the USC packet. It is the exact same. Just scan it to him and email it. He will need the cover letter to get into the medical/consulate.

That is what I did with my fiance. Since the apps were doublesided I just copied them to make them one-sided and then emailed everything to my fiance.

Good Luck at the interview.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, it is the same. My fiance received it first in US, scanned the complete package and sent everything to me by e-mail, anyhow you can find the forms here:

http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/wwwhiv...ml#fiancepacket

also here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1forms

So the only thing to be sent from your fiancee to you is the invitation letter (cover letter) and you are able to attend your medical exam and interview.

Fell free to ask if you have questions!

And good luck !!

Thank you all so much. Good I'm heading out Saturday! This is this most sickening and happy I have ever felt at the same time! I'm really nervous about his interview. I worry way too much, like that we'll get there and they'll say we're missing something.

So, to make me feel better, because I am a little confused, there are a couple of forms that other people talk about that are not included in the packet. Should we have an I-864 or an I-134 and a DS-230 (Part 1)? This would really ease my mind!
