Hi guys, i just recieved my appointment for biometrics fo my adjustment of status. It would be on October 19.

That's great! But did you ever receive your hardcopy for the acceptance?

Unfortunately, we are waiting for a RFE (request of evidences).....the USCIS web-site showed that they sent a hardcopy of it 27th of September, so we wondering what do they need more! :crying:

That sucks! But at least you know they're looking at your files :) cheer up ^_^

09/12/2011 Got medical done

09/15/2011 Went back to doctor to get PPD read

09/15/2011 Sent package via express USPS at 5:30 pm

09/16/2011 Email confirmation of delivery to lockbox in Chicago

09/20/2011 Email/text from USCIS

09/20/2011 Cashier's check cashed!!

09/21/2011 Touch (for what?, I don't know)

09/27/2011 2 NOA1 in mail! Dated: September 20, 2011 (I485 & I765)

10/03/2011 Biometrics letter in the mail. Dated 9/28. Appt. for 10/26.

10/04/2011 Biometrics walk in- Successful!!!!!! 

11/09/2011 Text/Email stating EAD card is in production 

11/15/2011 EAD Update

11/16/2011 Approval of EAD sent by mail

11/18/2011 EAD in hand

11/21/1011 Applied for SSN

11/26/2011 Social Security Card in the mail!

02/16/2012 Date when P.R. began

12/22/2016 Mailed N400 forms Dallas Texas

08/31/2017 Interview - Approved - Oath letter given to me same day

09/07/2017 Oath Ceremony!

Husband and I (Our AOS Journey) :


  • Sept 10 === Sent aos, ap, ,ead docs
  • Sept 15 === Received by uscis nebraska service center
  • Sept 20 === NOA
  • Sept 24 === Hard copies received for EAD, AP, and AOS
  • Oct 17 === Biometrics appointment in Seattle received dated Nov. 3 at 10 am
  • Oct 21 === Walk in biometrics succesful!!
  • Nov. 3 === EAD and AP approved (no notices received)
  • Nov. 6 === Email notification received for EAD and AP approval....
  • Nov. 7 === Email notification EAD mailed
  • Nov. 9 === EAD AP Combo Card received!!!!!

Yes,i recieved a letter stating that the application has been recieved by their office and is in process. The notice date is September 21, 2011.

and the second is about my biometrics appointment.

Wow thats fast... My biometrics notice has not yet arrived up to this time.. Lucky you! Keep us posted and good luck to you! :)

Hi everyone.

Update on our AOS: I received my Biometrics appointment notice today, and the date set is Oct 12.

Btw, I never received my first NOA for the AOS, which we sent on Sept 12. I called USCIS and they informed me that it had been mailed out on Sept 15. I guess it doesn't matter now, as the biometrics appointment notice indicates the receipt number for both the I-485 and I-765. For those of you who haven't received their NOAs and are past the 10 day mark, you can certainly call USCIS to get an update.

Dec 05, 2011: Received U.S. permanent resident status (AOS based on K-1 visa)

Dec 16, 2013: Removal of conditions on green card

Apr 28, 2015: Became a U.S. Citizen

Thats really great news octopus! I am happy that you go it I know how it feels I was rushing to my mailbox everyday! Haha, are you planning on a walk in for biometrics?

We got our hard-copies of NOA-1 i believe 21st of September.... :wacko: i wanna biometrics..... :help:

I was planning on doing a ''Walk In '' but they send me way off to the office in Louisiana .I live in North Florida (about 8 hrs driving :o ). I am happy though :lol:

My NOA's are dated Sep 14 also and I still haven't got any biometrics appointment :(

It just depends on your Service Center . Maybe they are filled with Boimetrics appointments prior to yours . .
