My I-485 application today went to the Initial Rewiew stage. Yay..?

My immigration lawyer said that we probably won't have an interview. Did anyone just get approved and sent a GCard without an interview?

Usually, people whose cases were transferred don't have an interview..

only if you get transferred to CSC but that still is not a guarantee for no interview. but from your timeline i don't think you have so most likely you will have an interview.

Good news: We got our EAD

Good news: We heard an update on our GC status

Bad News: Interview on Feb 29, I thought we wouldn't have to have one. Immigration lawyer was like, that's not the best sign in the world.

My AOS case was transferred to CSC on Jan 23rd. If I don't need an interview this might be the first thing that's actually gone my way. B-)
