Hi everyone,

I applied in Sept. and received e-mail confirmation for all applications on Sept. 26. Days later I received the hard copies confirmation. Did my walk-in biometrics on Oct. 7 and my case still shows under "initial review" online. I hope to receive some news soon. I'm getting a bit impatient.

If it helps, mine showed initial review for 80% of the process

Then for a couple of day it showed that my file could not be found because of incomplete information.

Then jump straight to card production.

I would get used to looking at initial review.

Believe it or not.. My K1 visa had been approved since July and I have been here for 2 and half months and I am now in my AOS journey already. But, my K1 visa status still show "initial review". Lolz... :D

Believe it or not.. My K1 visa had been approved since July and I have been here for 2 and half months and I am now in my AOS journey already. But, my K1 visa status still show "initial review". Lolz... :D

We are in the same boat. My AOS K2 Visa journey started in September, already did Biometrics and on web site still says "initial review" from the date we applied...no updates, nothing. Let's hang in there, I know we will get some news pretty soon.

good news for me guys, i got my EAD in the mail today. It was attached to the approval notice I think. I am really relieved right now. I will be applying for my social security on Monday since the offices are closed on weekends

I am very happy now, because although I did not file for EAD/AP, I got my interview letter today for 20 December!

I thought it might be as far as February, yay!

Trust me, I know its difficult. You should be getting something soon. I just hate how uscis isn't really predictable. Some people have there interviews and EAD already. I want my interview but I think the EAD will do for now.

Just a quick note to say I just got a text (5:03pm PST) from USCIS saying they mailed my I-765 approval. Did not get the second text some people speak of which orders card production for the second time. Went simply from one card production text to the approval mailed text!

I have a question, on the social security application, what would i put on the part that says citizenship:

1. I know its not US CITIZEN

2. Legal alien authorized to work (I received an alien number when i applied for AOS but does that make me "legal"?)

3. legal alien not allowed to work .....i know it can't be this one

4. other**
