Congrats!!! I just received a text saying my EAD card is in production! Does anyone have any idea when I should be receiving it ??

Congrats! I'm wondering the same thing. It says they approved mine on the 4th, and I don't have anything yet. They say it COULD take up to 30 days, but I don't think most would take that long.

June 7, 2010 - Will asked me to marry him, and I said YES!!
October 4, 2010 - Will sent away the I-129F Petition
October 12, 2010 - NOA1 received!
October 15, 2010 - First "touch"
October 18, 2010 - Second "touch"
March 7, 2011 - NOA2!!!
March 18, 2011 - NVC forwarded our case to the Montreal Consulate....NOT where we wanted it to go!
March 25, 2011 - Email from Montreal saying that our case would be forwarded to Vancouver - only took one night for a reply from them smile.png
April 5, 2011 - Vancouver has our package!
April 6, 2011 - Received Packet 3 via email - now just waiting on my police certificate.
April 13, 2011 - faxed Packet 3 to Vancouver

Congrats . I also am awaiting our card .I received the notification on Nov 4 . Hopefully it takes a week .Keep your fingers crossed .

Hopeandsun things seem to be moving for a lot of us so I'm sure you will get something soon I know how it feels I almost couldn't believe it. And yea guys, let's hope we get that in the mail soon. I know I should probably know this but, when we get the EAD do we have to go get a ss#? Or can we just show that card? I am planning to apply for college and get a drivers licence too. What do I do?

Im sure your card is coming soon... If it said card is in production and wait for 30 days, you should be receiving another email or text saying your card has been mailed.. Its priority mail so maybe wait for another 2 to 3 days.. Otherwise, im sure its coming in the mail in a weeks time.. Good luck to you and congratulations :thumbs:

Hi limenaluv91. Im scheduled to get my ssn today.. Well when you receive your ead and ap card it says there that you can use it as evidence of your status here in the US. Like in my case, i was not given ssn before because of my H4 status. But now that we have ead, i guess we can apply already. :thumbs:

Willow031111 thanks for your positive attitude and speedy reply. I see you got your EAD In less than a week. I didn't know it was priority mail I wouldn't expect it to be haha. Hopefully I get that update today or soon. I really want to sign up for my classes :) let us know how your appointment went and how long it will take for you to get it

This is not fact, but from what I've seen around these forums, early or late biometrics doesn't really dictate the timeline of your ead/aos interview. You should count the days from your Priority Date.

Can a walk-in biometric speed things up? Yes and No. If your file has been processed already and is only awaiting finger prints/background check, then yea a walk in will help because as soon as they receive your information, your file will pretty much be sent out for card production. But if your file hasn't been processed yet, or is in the middle of being processed, an early biometrics isn't going to do anything simply because the file has not been done yet.

For example, look at my dates, I did my biometrics on the scheduled date, LESS THAN ONE MONTH after my priority date and yet my EAD Card production took about 70 days! That's about 10 days longer than people in this september and august 2011 AOS threads.

Just something to think about. Basically what im saying is, keep calm and don't get paranoid, your EAD card production will arrive when it arrives. If you are absolutely convinced something is up with your file however, you may call USCIS hotline if you have been waiting more than 75 days from priority date for them to look into it. I tried calling around day 65, and then told me to call back in 10 days. Low and behold 5 days later i got my ead card production.

Congrats on approvals so far!

I will say though, it really irks the living hell out of me to see people who files a week or two after we did get approved first. This whole damn process has taken way too long. We got screwed on our I-129 when it got lost in the bottom of a pile on someone's desk so that took longer than everyone else.. Took us getting our congresswoman involved.. now we are still waiting for the damn EAD when people who filed after we did are getting theirs....

Seriously, screw this damn situation at this point.
