Hi all. Just wondering... Do walk in biometrics hasten the processing of the ead?

Some say yes, but I did my early walk-in, and I'm almost at 2 months, which is the average time for being approved.

Not necessarily, but if you are wondering where your EAD is, being 75 days out ALLOWS you to put in a service request as that is the earliest you can put one in. You should probably call if you are 90 days out without any news though.

(note: there is one person that i know of that got to put in their service request around day 65 bc they spoke with a VERY NICE rep who let them put it in. I tried doing the same as I am about 65 days out too but the rep i got would not let me and told me to call back upon day reaching day 75 without any news)

To tell you the truth, I'm super stressed out and depressed now. Some of you have NOA1 date later than mine but have EAD / interview letter already.

Need EAD card in 7 weeks or I lose my job that pay my family 48K a year :crying: :crying: :crying:

Is it normal that AOS from K-1 get processed faster than AOS from other type of visas?

Kampai99--How were you able to get a job that pays 48K a year without a Green Card ( or permission to work without DHS authorization ) ? Also what does your SS card have on it ? Just asking .

I'm on OPT (f-1 visa). I have an EAD which will expire in late December. My SS says something like 'valid for work only with DHS authorization' because I got it while I was working on campus 2 years ago.

I know this is a topic for K-1 but I enjoy your company here since the AOS-from-other-kind-of-visas thread doesn't seem to be active at all :star:

Generally yes, but it is not always the case. I am adjusting from L-1, sent everything in on Sept 19th, have interview on Nov21st.

Wow that's great. I got my biometric done almost 3 weeks before you but still haven't heard anything.

OMG Just check the online status, and it says they sent me an interview letter out today. The date is on December 6th! No EAD yet but this is a very good news!
