September 2011 AOS Filers!

Don't worry, all 3 of my receipts don't show up in the website. I've read that it's quite normal, and that USCIS even said not to rely on their case status updates online. It still sucks though that I don't see my case status even if it's under "Initial Review". The same thing happened to my K1 visa, so don't worry about it. You might even get approved faster than all of us.

Glad to hear that Hope I wish you luck and patience throughout this time. I never think we need luck in Federal process before, but after USCIS lost my medical exam, I change my mind and always pray for more luck!

Late update on my status, i had my biometrics on the 19th in Cincinnati and it was a quick one. It only took 10-15 minutes. They are so professional and friendly. It's time to wait again for another notice.....

Done with my biometrics appointment today! But the lady who assisted me said that she will use my maiden name since thats the name on my passport which i used to show as a form of identification. I did not bring our marriage certificate. What is gonna happen on my EAD? All of my NOA's are under my married name. The lady said to call USCIS and tell them about my name changing. But they already know since I filed with my married name. Any advice?

One more thing. I applied for I-485 and EAD and AP. But on my Appointment notice it only shows I-485 and I-765. How about my I-131/AP? Does that mean they are not processing it? I got my NOA also for my I-131.

Hey! I don't think you need biometrics for AP. Since EAD/AP is usually just a combo card now, it suffices for both. I applied for AP as well, and my biometrics notice also only mentioned the 485 and 765. Totally normal!

One more thing. I applied for I-485 and EAD and AP. But on my Appointment notice it only shows I-485 and I-765. How about my I-131/AP? Does that mean they are not processing it? I got my NOA also for my I-131.

Same here. My bio appointment mentions I-485 and EAD. Don't worry... AP process doesn't need finger printing

"On October 26, 2011, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

Received this via text and email last night. I haven't received anything in the mail yet...but, I am hoping and praying it got transferred to CSC and we have no interview.....right?? LOL That's the latest news for us...EAD and AP are still quiet since biometrics.

Some say that the EAD takes anywhere from 14 days -1 mth after the Biometrics . The GC takes longer . Some persons have received the GC before the EAD . It depends on how long the security background check comes back .Good luck .
