I just did a successful walk in Biometrics in Seattle field office. In at 1030 out by 1120AM. I was told by the lady who checked my paper said that in my I-765 they had my maiden name while in my I-485 they had my married name. They still let me do the biometrics and used my maiden name. I was surprised because both my NOA for both applications were in my married name. She told me to schedule for an Infopass and bring marriage certificate otherwise if my applications are approved in my maiden name, I would have to apply for a change of name for $350 or something. Wow. It was their mistake and it would cost me? This is so frustrating. If it is my I-765 that has my maiden name I think I will leave it at that but if it was my I-485 that is not in my married name, I think it is worth spending my time to straighten things out now than later. I am paying hundreds of dollars and they keep screwing up.

Hello - I told the security that I want to do my biometrics that day instead of my scheduled appointment. He instructed me to go to Window 11 and ask them if they can accommodate me. I told the lady in Window 11 the same thing - without explaining my reason since she did not ask. She said - "We'll see but are you willing to wait?" I said yes. SHe just received my appointment letter and told me to wait for my name to be called. There was only a small group that day - about 20+ so after about 40 minutes I was called to fill out a form. I handed back the form with my appointment letter and ID and they let me in. I think there are less people during mid-week. I went there on a mid-Thursday.

I think they will really try to accommodate you since you will make an effort to drive (not sure where you are from) but have to wait until they accommodated those with scheduled appointment.

In another thread a September filer just got his interview letter for November 21, I wonder why his went fast! His noa date is the same as mine. Hopefully ours goes quickly as well!

SOOOO HAPPY! Husband did walk-in biometrics in Santa Ana, CA today... SUCCESSFUL!!

I'd read horrible stories on VJ about the guards in Santa Ana... looks like we really lucked out and got the nice one!

In and out in about 40 minutes.

So I had put a service request on the 27 of september because they put me in the wrong family category, they tOld me that wouldn't delay anything. I got an email from them this morning statin that they could not fix it because my case was ready for interview scheduling. I hope that's not bad news. In the email they also stated that I had to talk about this problem on my interview. I guess I k now now that I will have an interview. I'm still wondering when though.

They put me under relative of permanent resident. I was supposed to be put under immediate relative of US Citizen
