Hey all,

I'm shuffling over here from the other September AOS forum since more of you seem to be here!

I just did my biometrics. One weird thing was that a couple of my fingers had poor quality prints, due to what the technician described as having "skinny fingers" so she couldn't roll the fingerprints around to get a complete print (i.e. the bottom of the print wasn't the best quality). But, the rest of the prints seemed to be fine (at least, that's what the computer said). Should I expect to have to go back for a second fingerprinting session? That'd be annoying since I very much doubt that my fingers will suddenly get "un-skinny" if they re-schedule me.

The same happened to my sister. They said she had fine skin and they kept having to redo her prints and told her not to be surprised if hey rescheduled her for another set if the FBI determined the prints as unreadable. I'm sorry if I'm scarig you by just keep it in mind.

The technician didn't mention or suggest having to come back a second time, and she did sign the quality assurance thing. I'm hoping that since everything else came out okay that the FBI will be able to read them. The technician was really nice and even went back and re-did a couple prints that weren't great, but there was definitely 1 or 2 that she had to by-pass and just accept. I think she said something to the effect of, "Well, that's definitely as good as they're gonna get". Here's hoping, for both me and your sister!

I just did a successful walk in Biometrics in Seattle field office. In at 1030 out by 1120AM. I was told by the lady who checked my paper said that in my I-765 they had my maiden name while in my I-485 they had my married name. They still let me do the biometrics and used my maiden name. I was surprised because both my NOA for both applications were in my married name. She told me to schedule for an Infopass and bring marriage certificate otherwise if my applications are approved in my maiden name, I would have to apply for a change of name for $350 or something. Wow. It was their mistake and it would cost me? This is so frustrating. If it is my I-765 that has my maiden name I think I will leave it at that but if it was my I-485 that is not in my married name, I think it is worth spending my time to straighten things out now than later. I am paying hundreds of dollars and they keep screwing up.

Hi everyone,

I need your help.

I sent my package on Sep, 26-2011 and USCIS received it at Sep-9-2011. But I havent heard anything, no text message, no NOA1, no checks cashed...is that normal?

And also, I only realized that the process costs $1070, after the package was already delivered! I sent a check for AOS -$1070 and another one for EAD -$380. Do you know what's usually happen on those cases?

I am so anxious to hear something from them!!

Just thought I would come back here and say that I got my NOA1 last night. Still dont know about the EAD check (if they will cash or return to us)),but NOA1 it's heree!

Finally got biometrics appointment for november 4, 2011 at 10 am... that was a long wait! but anyhow, im just glad it's here! anybody whose local office is Seattle? would you recommend a walk in? would be glad to hear feed backs
