Hi Everyone!!!

I was wondering how long does it take to receive this letter!!!!!I got my first NOA on July 28, 2011. and i havent heard anything yet. Is this normal. I'm becoming very inpatient now. lol.

I also was wondering in this NOA2 what does it ask for me to send or what thing will i need to start gathering it all up.

Also what things are need on the last packet3 so i can get copies done for my fiance,

Lastly is there any way to have the packet 3 thats supposedly going to my fiance be sent to me instead of him. Im scared that its going to get lost in the mail in mexico.

please help with this questions i would really appreciate.

I see a couple from Mexico still waiting NOA2 from Jan 17 2011. (Maria de la Caridad and Martin)

The time for approval varies alot but the standard is 5 months processing time till you get NOA2.

But some go quick and some take a long time. The longest I have seen recently is over 11 months.

Good Luck

The NOA2 takes at minimum 5months after you file so if you got NOA1 in July you should expect to get the NOA2 around Dec maybe Nov at the earliest.... The NOA2 will not ask you to send anything it will say you are approved and they will forward it to your interviewing country. What happens after that I cant tell you because Mexico procedures are different from Nigeria.....Good luck to you

Go onto Immigrations Timelines and click on Igor's list and see where your name is and see how many people are in front of you and how long they have been waiting. It is a fun and frustrating way to pass the time.

NOA1 was on April 26, 2011. It's now September 9, 2011 and still no NOA2. People tell me to wait, but I already contacted my US Congressman to find out why my application has stalled while May and even June filers have already received their NOA2. It just isn't fair. I have a clear background and as well as my fiancee. I followed the K1 visa guide and looked over it dozens of times before sending it out. I was very thorough, so I just don't understand why my application is taking this long when I've seen May filers who had RFEs and sent them in and still got their NOA2 before me.

I found it useful to check VisaJourney's Immigration Timeline. It is on the top bar of this website. You can select the Service Center, Mexico, filing date and other relevant information to narrow the cases similar to yours. It helped me guess when my NOA2 was due.
