Just to back track a bit:

Last Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning I called NVC with my 2 EAC #'s for the I-130 and I-129F I filed (for the K3). On each day they stated there was no information on either. That they were both in the building but neither had been processed. Each day I was given different answers to my questions and given different information in general about my case entirely (very unreliable).

On Tuesday, my first call, I was told that I was no longer going to file a K3 but instead they would administratively close the I-129F and process only the I-130 for a CR1. (that was fine). Each day following, each representative said something opposite to this.

On Friday I get home from work and receive a letter in the mail stating they in fact did process my I-129F, and that it had already been sent to the Santo Domingo Embassy 2 days prior (these are the same days I had called and was told it had not been processed at all).

Obviously angry, I was unlucky to speak to the most miserable person in NVC who gave me vague information and told me to wait, not to respond to the K3 correspondence that my husband would receive from the SD Embassy.

Monday of this week I call the embassy and they did receive it. On Tuesday I called the Visa Specialist and they confirmed that my I-129F was entered in to the system at the Embassy.

In the meantime, my husband gathers all of his documents and generates the DS-230, DS-156, and DS-157 in preparation. He was about to pay for his Visa Application today.....but I had this feeling that since everything is screwed up with this process, I'd call NVC one more time.

Just got off the phone with the husband of the miserable woman I had spoken to last week (Mr Miserable). He stated the I-129F that was sent to the SD Embassy was administratively closed. That I need to wait for the I-130 to be processed, which could be another 2 weeks.

Are these people serious???? After thousands of dollars are spent they don't have the courtesy to have a decent demeanor at their job, provide accurate information, look deeper into the situation, or have any respect for the people calling in. I'm sick of the games with them. Can anyone explain what the hell is going on and what I should expect because WIKI and all of those other wonderful resources have no section for "RIDICULOUS NVC PROCESSING"? :help:

I understand your pain - trust me I have gone through a situation in which they opened my case closed on 8/15 as they processed my email and refused to reverse that and insisted on me sending I-864 signed again, eventhough they have one that was signed and thus closed my case again on 8/31. Thus instead of getting an earlu October interview, I am still waiting for a interview date and October looks like a dream now.

In your case, I think it is good in a way. Let I-129K be closed, as it is not any faster and it involves additional fee of USD 1070 for adjustment of status after entering US and you can not work in US till you get this done. On the other hand CR1 takes probably a month more but you get your Green card stamp in passport (and a Green card in post after a month) and you can start working from day one (as soon as you get your SSN). So all the best with your process.

USA

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Sorry to hear about your chaotic situation. It blows my mind how crazy this whole thing is. I understand they have millions of people applying for Visa....I worked at the IRS for 9 years and saw first hand how chaotic millions of important documents at a short time can become overwhelming. But at the end of the day, its their job and they need to do it correctly. There's too many excuses and I'm so tired of it.

I agree that it's much better my I-129F be closed....as the other has more benefits. But I'm at a point where they need to decide fast because if we are going K3 then he needs to pay for his Visa application fee ASAP. If not, I need to pay the IV bill and some other damn fee. :( I'm so upset.

This is correct... I have had a couple of issues... And although it is frustrating... It's gonna take as long as it takes... That part is out if our control... I to had my i129 closed and really it was useless to do it... If you call there while they are in the middle if doing something... You are going to get different answers because they won't know how to answer... I got ahead of them at one point so I decided to just relax... Then I was getting letters saying to do this and that... So try and relax... It sounds like your in the same track now ... :)

Thank you. I hope something happens soon and quickly. It sucks to have your hopes up for an interview very soon then to realize that won't happen because someone, somewhere decided otherwise. :( SO frustrating :(

My I-129f was also administratively closed and I agree the people at the NVC are horrible at their jobs they don't listen to the questions ur asking and just provide you with the generic answers they read off a piece of paper and then they give you attitude if you ask again I hate talking to those operators but it's something you have to do.
