I was wondering if all AOS applicants from k-1 visas must have an interview before receiving their green card? I tried to read the guides but it was not clear. If so, when does it typically happen. We received an RFE today, just two days after completing the biometric appt but don't know the details yet. I wasnt sure if the invite to the interview party comes as an RFE or not? Wishful hoping I realize.

An RFE is only an RFE, and not anything else. K-1 AOS has about a 50/50 chance of having an interview; it is possible to get it approved without an interview.

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package

Probably more than 50/50 for interview, but if everything is ok no problem. Pretty easy to tell fraud from valid marriage. See what the RFE is and respond.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

No not all AOS fromm K1 have an interview as stated about 50/50, Usually the trend seems to be if yoyr case is transferred to CSC it is more likely you wont have an interview which is what happened to us. We also got an RFE and no it is not an invite to an interview. An RFE means they want some more info for your AOS.
