is it mandatory to have the I-693 submitted when adjusting my status regardless of the fact that i had a medical done before i moved here which was submitted to the embassy and subsequently DHS when i arrive here and moreover i have my immunization record form jamaica.

you will not have another medical examination here if you are done with it in your country. What they need is the supplemental for of 693. Do you have your medical report from your country? If you have find a civil surgeon and let them transfered the data on form I-693 supplemental form (not the 693 medical form).

Just follow what they asked.

It's the supplement that you need to get -- not the whole medical done over again....

I think you might get a bunch of differnet answers for this question....everyone has gone through the same things as you. We all had the "medical" done and the sealed "package" given to Immigration upon entering into the U.S. It's all just a way for more people to make more money off of us.....

I am under the impression that if you DON'T get the supplement to send with the AOS that you have to have it when you do your interview. I do not believe there is any way around it.
