I assumed after Bio metrics and approval of my wife and my children s applications for temporary work permits and travel documents that the green card would follow. Thought wrong! What the heck more do I need to prove the relationship is real? Most of the documents they have a list of I've already sent in with the Adjustment of status. I will bring insurance paper, polices , rental lease, papers that proves she resides with me. Should I bring an Interpreter? my wife's English is not good, the kids speak okay. my wife works in a nail shop, should we get a letter of Employment?, she gets paid cash only assuming were going to get a 1099 at the end of the year.

We moved in July but never requested a change of address with Immigration, I was scared it would slow down or loose the paperwork in transit, the address is my parents so the mail is reliable so I know we would get it . Our landlord will provide me with a lease to prove it.

Give me your thoughts about this interview?

FWIW: If your wife is getting paid cash then she should be making quarterly tax payments. And don't forget the Social Security tax that goes along with the payroll tax.

I would hope that you can prove more than that your wife resides with you. Proof of a marital relationship would be what is expected. Policies, leases, joint accounts and memberships are good evidence.

There are a certain percentage of cases that are selected for interview. You've been selected for whatever reason. My experience was that the interview was a piece of cake. But it sounds like your approach is different than mine.

Best of luck to you.

We had a tough time once she got here. They wouldn't issue her a social security card so I couldn't get her on my bank account, we have it now so she can now get on my accounts. We will get affidavits from teachers and soccer coaches and my coworkers that have come to our house for special occasions to prove our relationship. As far as the her working, were going to opt to pay all the taxes at the time of our filing, 95% percent is deposited in the bank so we don't touch it.

I'm probably stressing out over nothing but I've been like this for the last 2 years during this Visa and now Aos process.
