Simple question!

My wife has her Interview in a month at the consulate in Juarez. I am the Petitioner and husband. Do I go with her to the interview? I always assumed I would, and my non-profit lawyer said yes, but I read online that only certain people are allowed inside the interview and Petitioner wasn't one of them. Does my wife have to go to the interview alone?

Mahalo!

I would go if you can, if you do not go you will miss all the excitement. Maybe other Mexico, Juarez embassy involved VJ's will have insight. I have seen lots of comments on IO and Beneficiary only.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Only certain consulates will let the petitioner go in to the interview with the beneficiary, but if you go and CJ isn't one of those consulates your wife/fiancee can always take your passport in with her and have it sitting on top of the stack of documents where the VO can clearly see it and will know that you are there with her. She can even have it open to the BIO page and show it to the VO. It is debatable whether it helps, but it certainly doesn't hurt for you to be at the interview. Worst case if there is a denial or blue slip and you aren't there, you would wonder if it would have made a difference and best case you get to spend some time with your girl and celebrate the good news.

yep! Juarez is one of those consulates that do not allow petitioners, unless they are young children, or someone older with dissabilities. you can stay outside the consulate if you want to go.

Many people i think do go even around the world all the way to Asia. So Mexico is nothing.

I would DEFINITELY GO!

Read this! HERE, I asked the same question: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/328409-is-it-a-good-idea-for-petitioner-to-go-to-interview-with-the-beneficiary/
