What Americans think about climate change, by political allegiance

Okay, name the scientific journals you've read on Climate Change which you've based your assumptions on? (What I mean by scientific journals - these are peer-reviewed, not some blogger with a bachelors in biology).

Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. As I said, I'm not a big reader.

What I have done is waded through the blogosphere, listened to the radio and watched TV programs from around the world that were paid for with independent money by businesses intent on making a profit through entertainment and/or non-profit journalistic endeavors who have no desire other than to investigate things themselves and then I've lined up that info against the scientific journals that were produced by either tax payer funded research projects (and yes, universities are tax payer funded), businesses poised to make money off global warming scams, or government agencies.

What's amazing about doing your own research is you're not hampered by only certain "allowable" inputs. You can gather (or discard) as much or as little evidence as you want. What I've attempted to do (on this issue and every other) is take in everything available from all sides and sift through the BS.

What I came up with is the evidence is inconclusive. Is it possible? Sure. Likely? Not really. Definitely happening? Absolutely not.

The one thing I can be certain of though is it's not going to effect me one bit in my lifetime so I'm not really going to waste any time on it.

I asked Slim the question so I'd like for him to answer.

As I said, sorry for the delay. I had to hear about Warren Buffet not paying his fair share and how government would not allow benefits that many have counted on for decades to be cut since we don't have money to pay for them.

What you're going to start seeing more of, in the near future, is Americans being able to find their own information independent of major news media and government-run programs since they'll actually have time to give a f'k because they're out of work and can't go to McDonald's anymore.

Is the earth warming...................well duh............it is and has been for a very long time..........since the end of the most recent ice age likely. There is ample and unambiguous evidence of this throughout the northern hemisphere. What most people are able to understand is the global warming is not anthropogenic as when the earth began warming this go-around, there were relatively few humans or SUVs roaming the earth. A carbon footprint was another name for a fire pit and an eco-consious human was just looking for a cave to keep the rain off his noggin.

If we seek to ascribe this change to human activity, then we should also seek to prove how humans are in fact responsible for "elevation change" as since the end of the last ice age, the elevation of the earths crust is continuing to change by as much as a centimeter a year...........................The power that is required to deflect the crust is akin to the power that is required to change the climate.............far beyond human capabilities.

I am certain that post glacial rebound is an imminent threat to life and prosperity. With a few million in research dollars, I'd bet I could find enough evidence to scare a good percentage of the populace.
