So quick a question for all. I am about to file a N-400 for my wife, but I just realized we moved a year ago and I forgot to file an I-865 for myself (I am a us citizen). I did file a change of address form (ar-11) for my wife when we moved. My question is this, as I fill out the I-865 should I write the date I actually moved to the new address 1 year ago, or today's date? I ask because apparently I should of done this within 10 days of the move, and well I forgot/didn't know. Also, how long should I wait after filing the I-865 before filing my wife's N-400. Thank you.

Whatever floats your boat.

Nobody cares and it means absolutely nothing at this point.

Seriously.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

I actually have done multiple internet and forums searches on the topic, and all I have found is that it doesn't matter when you file form I-865, just that you do it. However, I can't get a straight answer to what date I should put in. I know I could have avoided this by doing it in the first place, but I forgot. I guess the best thing would be to put the date of the move (1 year ago) that way I am not lying. However, if anyone knows if that is the best thing to do, or if it's wrong and I should put the current date please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

If you are US citizen no need to submit AR-11 and I-865.....but if you are sponsoring your relative has a US citizen...so only submit I-865 of each person to vermont service centre.and if your relative arrived in USA and they have green card so you must have to submit AR-11 form of each person.
