Ok I'm checking/rechecking all the forms, I have the proof gathered, now we are just making sure everything is set while we wait for payday to send it all off!

Regarding the cover letter, here is the body of the letter, any suggestions/alterations are welcome! I just want to make sure I don't make any mistakes!

To Whom It May Concern:

Contents include:

- Payment in the amount of $340 USD

- I-129F

- G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner)

Signed,

{MY NAME HERE}

Does this look ok? Am I missing anything do you think?

Also for the letters of intent to marry, I followed the sample but I have seen that some people have also given a description of how they met in that letter as well as in the form. Would this be good to do? And as we are together at the moment, would we be able to both sign the same letter of intent, and get it notarised? Should we get them notarised anyway?

Thank you in advance. Things are rattling me pretty had right now, I need to say goodbye to Ben soon as his J1 is running out and I know the K1 process takes so long, it will be months before I will see him again. So I'm going through a lot of emotions, logically I know we are taking steps to make sure we can always be together but I will miss him very very much....so I will be a perfectionist worrywart in the meantime :innocent:

Please help, I want to get these printed out and in a two pronged holder ready to be sent when we get paid... I don't have much time left with him living here and I'd like us to get it sent off before he leaves :<

Sorry if I shouldn't be bumping this :X but I'm not sure if anyone sees things that go off the front page and I'm desperate to make sure I do everything right

You have everything perfect. Your letter of intent is fine as you copied from here that's great but if you do want to write how you met it does not have to be detailed just the main information and then sign it. Do one from both of you though and sign no need to be notarised at all. Date and sign is sufficient.. I will try and find mine and put it on your profile page ok but you have done great and you will have your Aussie here very soon permanently.

Hi,

Your cover letter looks good. The only thing I am planning on doing differently is creating another separate cover sheet for the proof of having met in the last 2 years and the proof of an ongoing relationship.

I think it makes it a little bit more organized and shows an itemized account of every bit of information I'm providing. Anything to make their job easier

Also, I don't think there's anything wrong with having your intent to marry statements very simple. Personally I added the details of how I met my fiance and the details of our ongoing relationship in the supplement statement to the I-129F question number 18.

This is off topic but you stated that your fiance was here on a J-1? Is he subject to the two-year home residency requirement? If so then he must apply for a home residency requirement waiver.

I just found this out about my fiance's J-1 this morning.

Best of luck to a speedy and painless K-1 process :)

I am the petitioner.

Barbara J- Thank you so much :) I'm going to really miss my Aussie man :crying: but I know when next he comes here it will be for good so that makes it better. Thanks for looking it over and the kind words, advice and sample <3

AKSinghSingh79- Thank you too!!! That is a good idea, I'll gather everything and go over it a final time before sending and see if it will be better to do it your way, it depends on how much I'll have  Yeah he's on a J1 atm but its not subject to the residency requirement, so that's a plus for us. I wish you all the luck and good wishes for your journey as well :luv:
