Hello and salaams everyone!

I am writing this topic to ask if it is normal that we get a call few days before the interview from American embassy in islamabad. my husband

interview is on sept 21st inshallah and he got a call today from the embassy. i havent heard about these calls so i want to ask you if any one of you

recvd any calls before the interview? should i be concerned of who called? or should i take it as a normal procedure from them?

I guess it depends upon what the embassy said to your husband. My husband didnt receive any phone call prior to the interview but I got a call a month later for a phone interview... now we are just awaiting his visa....

Thank for the reply, Embassy just asked him to bring the orignal birth certificate and marriage certificate with urdu and english translation and

just asked him to be there at 8am appointment time.

it felt like a reminder call to me but i personally havent heard from anyone that they call so thats y i asked the q

my husband also didnt ask the person name, all the person said was he is calling from american embassy...

i just hope it was not someone else...

From what you said it sounds like they needed the originals and didnt have them so they were asking him to bring them to be sure he didnt have to submit after the interview which leads to ap... so it wasnt just a reminder for the interview it was a request to bring the original documents that were not submitted prior to the NVC

that could be true

as far as i remember we dont submit any of our orignal marriage/birth certificate. i did submited the copy of marriage certificate which was attested and notarized.
