Ganesh86, the clinic screwed up things a bit. They didn't call till 2 PM and clinic didn't answer any of wife's calls in the morning. Around 2 PM the lady doctor called asking her why she hasn't yet gone there for day 2 medical (she explained that she didn't get any call and no one answered at the clinic). She was at VFS at that time and could reach the clinic around 4 PM. So the day 2 medical was done but the medical reports will have to be collected on Monday.

VFS just took the courier payment and gave the receipt and nothing else was asked. They asked her to submit the photos and additional evidence at interview (looks like they didn't want to send any courier to VFS, Chennai/ Consulate).

Bandh is planned from 10/11 to 10/17, so hopefully 10/10 should be fine to collect the medical reports. We booked flight to Chennai on 10/23 as train journey looks risky.

Ganesh86, she just collected the medical report. She got two packet - one for interview and another for POE. She was given only two vaccinations and was told that she will have to take one more vaccination within 2 months of entering US. Don't have the full details of those vaccinations but wondering if you guys have similar experience!

She was given 2 vaccinations. On of those is her first MMR and she will need to take booster MMR after 1 month of first one but before 2 months - so she will take that, the Lord willing, after coming here.

Hope the agitation is Hyderabad subsides. Take care to see that you avoid the rail roko possibilities. And all the best with your interview preparations.

Hi,

I was just wondering when your wife went for the medical examination at Hyderabad, if Doctor Songa himself does the physical exam or if it is done by a female doctor?

Regards,

Jay

For female candidates a lady doctor did the checking and discussed the report with them. Dr. Songa takes the male candidates for checking and discussing the report with them.
