I started getting panicking with NVC delays of scheduling interview date, however I would still wait until mid next week. The guy whom I spoke with morning said NVC does schedule interviews throught the month. I believe most of the folks out here are aware of this.

Yes, they will most likely ask you to carry the x-ray portion to the interview though.

not sure about this as the x-ray will also be in the sealed envelope with the reports. though it could be different based on which hospital you are doing your exam.

I think you will have to go to VFS after the Medical (you need to submit the medical report too at VFS).

for Chennai you can carry the medical report to the consulate I think but check with VFS if you can carry your reports to consulate directly.bmit one thing for sure you have to pay Rs 387 for courier fees and any documents/originals you didn't submit to the NVC needs to be submitted to the VFS at-least 10 working days prior to interview.

Are you sure the x-ray portion is separated from the reports? I thought it was one big envelope with x-ray and reports sealed inside?

I am the USC Petitoner.

I know of several people that turned in their medical reports and was told to hang on to their x-ray results and bring them to the interview.

This is for Mumbai consulate interviews.

looks like you have your medical completed, i would like to know if you got two envelopes one for x-ray and one for the reports after the medical exam? because we got only one big sealed envelope.

My wife is in the means of scheduling it. She has not finished it yet. As soon as I get word I will let you know.

We are trying to get it done in the next 2 weeks or less.

But if I read chennai consulate specific instructions on medical exam, I leant that I need to carry the report with me to the consulate on the day of interview.I found it on http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/immigrantstous/medical-exam.html. Please check this particular line of statement.

Collect the report from him/her and bring it to Consulate on the day of your formal visa application appointment.

However I request experienced VJers to put some light on this who had their iterviews in Chennai consulate very recently.

I saw the instructions from Chennai Consulate and also noted that Delhi bound guys got 221G due to non-submission of the Medical Report, which delayed their process. I wrote to VFS and I am reproducing their response below, which doesn't mention anything specific to the medical report. Hen ce I guess I will have to write to the Consulate.

Chennai Consulate instructions:

"The physician may need four to seven days to prepare the results of your medical examination. Collect the report from him/her and bring it to Consulate on the day of your formal visa application appointment."

Here is the response from VFS to my inquiry, which also doesn't mention specifically about the medical Report:

Dear Mr. xxxx,

Thank you for writing to us,

This is to inform you that you visa application centre along with the Original Passports & interview appointment letter. Documents will be accepted at any nearest VFS centers ( located in southern region) until 10 working days prior to the date of interview. Applicant must submit all the documents to VFS as specified in the “Appointment package” or “Packet 4” (those which pertain to your case) on any working day between 8am to 1pm & 2pm-3pm (Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the U.S. Consulate, Chennai).

Further, you need to submit the courier fee payment (Rs.387/-) with the below mentioned documents:

· You need to carry your original passport and submit only the photocopies of passport ( first and last pages)

· You need to carry your original Interview appointment Letter and submit only the photocopy of the interview appointment letter.

· 3 Photographs (as per visa specification)

· other relevant documents mentioned in your packet 4 (If required)

Chennai interview process looks a little different. Since Delhi bound guys got 221G, we would like you to please clarify the following to remove our confusion - we appreciate your input.

What time did you finish your interview?

Did your interview email ask you to submit any documents? Did it mention anything about VFS?

Did you submit the Medical Results at the US Consulate and after interview were you asked to submit that while paying the courier fee at VFS?

Did you collect the passport on the day or 1 day after the interview?

Any one that had been to Channai for interview, please share your experience with VFS document submission (particularly regarding medical report).
