You filed based on the WRONG thing. This is why reading the instructions very clearly is important.

Arizona is based on form I-526 Alien Entrepreneur.

You were to send it to Chicago lockbox. For adjustment from K-1.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You will find out when you either get it back or receive NOA. It might take a while.

My Immigration Journey:

anyone have an idea to how long it will take to find out if it would be sent back or forwarded?

It can be a few months (2 or so) or it could be quick. They could have rejected it which means it would be quicker. Some people just cancel the check with that package and send a new package with a new check. The origial package will eventually be rejected for lack of payment and you'll get it back but in the meantime you've sent your new package for processing to the CORRECT address.

As a side note, please re-read ALL instructions. If you got the filing address wrong there (when it seriously is in a BIG box and REALLY obvious) could be many other things you missed as well.

I was wondering what would happen if I sent my AOS packet to the Arizona address that is listed in the I-485 instructions instead of the Chicago one that I am reading on the posts here?

i made the same mistake...really upset about it.when did you send yours? would you let me know when you get a response? i was able to email them and they said they will forward the packet to the right address. thanks kirby.

FINALLY, they forwarded the packet to the right lock box after 2 weeks.........thank God!!
