So:

For the last couple of days I have been pulling out what little hair I have left on my head waiting for an interview date. Our case was expedited through USICS and NVC and now it looked like it was going to be sitting at the embassy for some time before we could get an interview date. I was so irritated, I've bene pushing this package like it was my own child and I hated not being able to take it to the finish line. I skyped my wife and was on the phone talking to her letting it out all on her since she had done her medical and was just like me waiting for the word.

Then literally, my email popped up and, you guessed it, the embassy wrote. 22nd September is her interview date, I couldn't believe it. For a second I felt like ranting, all of this and it's so close to the end I can smell it. But I realized something, instead of bragging and dancing around, I just want to say thank you to all those who posted and gave advice on how to achieve this, and those who shared their stories and experiences, without it we would still be in USCIS somewhere waiting.

I know we aren't done with our journey but I am glad we are one step closer to being together again....

P.S. I don't know if the criteria has changed but getting expedited wasn't as hard as some people led me to believe. Maybe it was God's will or just luck but I just asked for it and they gave it to me. Sometimes you can't take no from someone who can't tell you yes....

Congratulations on getting an interview and good luck! One question: Did your wife do her medical exam after she gets her appointment letter or what? I am trying to plan ahead for things now, hopefully I get to go back to US again soon enough!

Congratulations on getting an interview and good luck! One question: Did your wife do her medical exam after she gets her appointment letter or what? I am trying to plan ahead for things now, hopefully I get to go back to US again soon enough!

Thank you on both accounts. My wife did her appointment before she had her interview letter. She just called and scheduled her appointment with her case number from NVC. We got the interview later on that night by email since our case was expedited. If the NVC is handling your case they will inform you of interview date. She just picked her results up today. Keep in mind after the medical it takes a few days for the results, her appointment was last Wednesday and she got her results today so plan for that.

On a side note the visa will be issued between 3-5 days afterwards. Just FYI...
