How many I-864a for parents and how should I count family size

Hi,

I am preparing AOS for both my parents and my spouse is my joint sponsor. I know I should send one I-864 for each parent, Shall I also send one I-864a for each or only one for both?

my second question is about how to count family members. I live with my husband and 2 children so I have a family of 4, and when my parents come we will be 6. Shall I write family size in each I-864 5 members (count one parent at a time ) or 6 members?

Thanks

First you have to understand that you have 2 total separated cases, so you'll need full paperwork for each case.

Second, I believe there is a question in the form where they ask if you had filed an AOS for any other immigrants, this one becomes true as soon as you file the I864, so you household size should be 6. I hope this help.

The cases for your parents are two separate petitions. You (the petitioner) are filing a separate I-864 for each parent. Your household member (not joint sponsor) will need to file a separate I-864a for each parent.

Your household size is 5 on all the AOS forms. There is no place to count intending immigrants on other affidavit of support in your household count. This mean you don't count mom on the I-864 and I-864a on the AOS forms for dad, and vice versa.

Ok, let's say I petition for 10 siblings, and I'm filling the AOS for each one of them of course, I'm single and they are single, I make enough for me plus one... then on each form I will only mention 1 sibling, this way would I be able to bring them all this way? Right?

No. LOL.

You follow the instructions on the forms. The I-864 instructions tells you to count any intending immigrants you are sponsoring on that particular I-864 and any LPRs who you currently have an I-864 obligation to. The instructions does not say to count intending immigrants on other affidavit of supports.

The US Embassy/Consulate will take all the cases together in consideration when reviewing the affidavit of support.
