NVC to Embassy

Este es un post solo para sacar de dudas a algunos usuarios cuyos casos tienen en NVC mas de lo regular, es decir, algunos casos llegan el LUNES y se van el MARTES, otros casos como fue el de nosotros duro exactamente 2 semanas en NVC para ser enviado a Santo Domingo. Muchos se preguntan; QUE SUCEDE CON MI CASO QUE ESTA DURANDO TANTO PARA SER ENVIADO A LA EMBAJADA?...la respuesta es NADA, es solo que NVC NO realiza envios diarios de casos a las embajadas, esperan un tiempo aproximado de 2 semanas para aglomerar una cantidad considerable de casos a los diferentes paises y es entonces cuando su caso es enviado en este LOTE, si su caso llego el mismo dia o un dia despues del envio, es probable que su caso espere en NVC 1 o 2 semanas para esperar el proximo envio. ASI QUE NO SE PREOCUPEN! Dios esta con TODOS NOSOTROS!!

8/29/2011 - Received email/text NOA2

9/2/2011 - NVC received (no NVC # assigned yet)

9/2/2011 - Received hardcopy of NOA2

9/6/2011 - NVC Havana case number assigned

9/16/2011 - NVC forwarded case to Havana

9/19/2011 - NVC generated informational letter to me

9/23/2011 - Received letter from NVC via snail mail

10/6/2011 - Packet received by US Interest Section in Havana

10/18/2011 - Amel received telegram advising him when to pick up packet

12/05/2011 - Amel had blood work and x-rays done in preparation for medical examination

12/12/2011 - Amel picked up packet of forms at the USINT in Havana.

01/10/2012 - Amel had his medical exam today.

03/01/2012 - Interview: APPROVED!

03/20/2012 - Visa received.

3/23/2012 - Carta blanca, etc. requested

De acuerdo a la fuente oficial (USCIS), los casos de K1 en NVC reciben mas investigaciones antes de ser enviados a la embajada del beneficiario(a). Sea esto verdad o no realmente no importa en el sentido de que no hay nada que un peticionario o beneficiario puedan hacer para acelerar el proceso. Como todo en estos casos, es cuestion de tener PACIENCIA.

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

thanks for all the info. they actually sent mine within 2 days of arrival at NVC, but because of sending it so quickly, they made problems in another area for me. So Sometimes, the quicker isn't always better. ;)

Yo creo que todo depende de la embajada porque los casos que van a Bogotá, Colombia casi siempre los envían por DHL a los 2-3 días de haberlos recibido. Rara vez se demoran más de una semana.
