I have what might be a silly question. My husband has been issued his K-3 visa and will travel next month!!! I have received info regarding the I-30 which was improved and is not at the NVC. Does this process need to be abandoned since he will apply for adjustment of status? I'm not sure what to do. I emailed the NVC but I'm not sure about response time from them.

Thanks

myrtle,

When the DS-3032 is received from the NVC, respond with the information that he will adjust status in the USA rather than apply for an immigrant visa.

Greetings!

After i emailed NVC to hold my approved I-130 peition because i will adjust status once in the States, this is the email i got from them.

Dear Madam,

The National Visa Center has updated your address.

The National Visa Center (NVC) received notification of the beneficiary's intent to adjust status in the United States. We will hold the current petition at the NVC until we are notified by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS-formerly known as INS) to return the petition to them.

To apply for adjustment of status in the US you must submit the "Notification of Immigrant Visa Approval" (approval notice) to the nearest CIS office. If you did not receive this form, please contact CIS.

Please note that the NVC does not process adjustment of status cases and that all future inquiries should be directed to the CIS.

Regards,

National Visa Center

once your husband arrives, send in the AOS and EAD applications to the appropriate office, (not sure what the process is now, its changed since I did mine) along with a copy of the NOA2 from the I-130. Once you do that, then NVC will be notified by the office to forward them the I-130 package.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
