Hello All,

Sorry I am sure that this topic has been discussed, but I could not find any information.

I am a US citizen (married to a US citizen and now I am a Citizen). I want to apply for my father by filling in the I-130 form. The document that I-130 requires are:

1- My birth Certificate

2- My father Marriage Certificate

3- Prove of the relationship (pictures and other document, but I have plan to send pictures).

4- $420 fee

Is there anything else that I need to send beside what I have listed in the above? A friend has mentioned that I need to submit my father Birth Certificat, I was curious whether that is true or not or maybe at some point the visa center needs that or not. Please help with i-130.

I appreciate if somebody who already done what I have described or in the process of doing that would help me a lot.

Thanks,

Malaang

  • Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative (if you are filing for both parents, you must file a separate petition for each parent)
  • A copy of your birth certificate showing your name and the names of both your parents
  • If your name or your father’s name is different from the name on your birth certificate, you must provide evidence of the legal name change.
  • If you were not born in the United States, a copy of either
  • your Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship or
  • your U.S. passport
  • A copy of your parents’ civil marriage certificate
  • A copy

Thanks Elkhris.

Anything beside the above items that I might need to submit with I-130 for my father?

Thanks,

Malaang
