I take it you cant understand english very well. Let me be as clear as possible to you.

F2A is the fasting moving category - you are right.

However the relationship between the following is NOT EQUAL

HUSBAND AND WIFE

PARENTS AND CHILDREN

BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF US CITIZENS

WORKERS

the husband and wife with small children is the most sensitive category. who would you rather be away from a for a couple years.. your brother and sister or your wife and 3 year old?

F2A should be current, i.e. only subjected to processing delays.

well said...

If you call NVC and enter your NVC number in their automated telephone service, you will know when your case got completed.

Hi Guys, I have a question here. Please check this link to see visa schedule dates in Chennai (India)for october.

http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/pdfs/ivappoint111001.pdf

All MDR dates are showing 2010 (When NVC received) and months are almost june to december. Are they calling all 2010 filers? I have seen some 2009 cases in august schedule.

On the other side, even the case is transferred to NVC in 2010 that doesn't mean they filed I-130 in 2010. In general understanding, I-130 is taking 5 months and transferred to NVC. If some one (Ex: MDR2010790001) scheduled, two posibilities:

1: His/Her I-130 filed in June 2010 and transeferred to NVC in October (790 - 500, approximately october)

2. His/Her I-130 filed in some where 2008 Jan and approved in June 2010 and transeferred to NVC in October

I would like to hear your thoughts on this. This will give some idea about how they are handling the approved cases.

Thanks in advance

i think your second option is near to the facts....In general cases take 5 months to approve now a das but before couple of years it was taking almost 1.5 years to 2 years....so i think the 2010 dates in the case number shows approval year and these cases were filed in 2008 and may be 2009 jan....

Thank You Jhp, for your reply. Is there a way to check priority dates based on NVC number ? Then we will have a clear idea. Do you know anyone from the forum applied I-130 in Jan 2010 and got an interview in 2010 ?

you are welcome...in reply to ur question, i dont think there could be any way to know priority date based on nvc case number bcaz NVC assigns case number according to case completed...california service centre took 5 months max to complete a case while vermount service centre is taking more than 9 months and sometimes 1.5 years...so we cannot exactly know the priority date based on nvc case number ......

NVC assign the case number when they receive the approval of I130 from USCIS office. As example someone applied I-130 in 2008 and approved in december 27th 2010 but NVC received their file on January 2nd, 2011. Thats mean NVC case number for that will begins with MDR-2011XXXXXX.

Thats how it works. most of us here waiting for is 2009/2010 and there case number start with 2010XXXX because of NVC received their file in the year of 2010.

I think I make it clear for you!!

USCIS

PRIORITY DATE : FEBRUARY 3RD, 2010

CASE APPROVED ON SEPTEMBER 9TH, 2010
