Hi!

I am pretty sure you have already discussed this many times, but I can't find the right topic and I've been wondering this for the long time.

My last name consists of letters that people in the US do not know [KOVAČEC]. Are you allowed to use letters they don't know in the forms or should I just use C instead of Č?

You have to use latin alphabet for all forms. On form G-325A, on bottom, there is a box, where you will write your name in original language. And, yes, you'll have to use C ....

On the DS-230 there is one section where you have to enter your name in your native characters but other than that everything should be in Roman Characters.

BTW, if you have passport, which is good for international travel, your name should be there already, spelled in latin letters. Use same way as in that passport.
