Hello All Vjers : :D !!!!!

I am just about to fill my DS 230 form( part 1 ). It is instructed on the form to use "N/A" (NOT APPLICABLE) wherever required but as mentioned on the website it is clearly said please use "none" or "never" wherever required. For example

Do you have any children :- Am I suppose to write "None" Or "N/a". I am confused as to what is wrong and what is right ?? Secondly can I fill my DS 230 with a Black Pen! I just don't wish to make any silly mistake during my K1 process!! Any help will be appreciated!!

Thanks,

Ammy

Think of it this way, if the question is applicable to you, then the answer is none. If the question isn't applicable, then it's N/A. The question about having children is applicable, because you could have them, but you don't, so you should write 'none'.

Use N/A and black pen is fine.

I have to disagree. It should be 'none'. See my reason above.

I agree with you Saylin ,even I was wondering how can I write "N/a" for everything because it just doesn't make any sense..! I completely understood your point . Thanks for the wise reply !!

I noticed the same thing and wondered where to insert which one...so I put n/a where it seemed appropriate and none where it seemed to fit better.

Thanks and I am gona do the same thing !!! :)
