Hello,

I am preparing to submit a I-191 package to begin the K1 visa process. My fiancee is subject to the 2 year home residency rule until late July 2007/early August. That is 10 months away.

Have you had personal experience with K1 or K2 or any other fiance(e) visa and also had the added issue of the two year home residency requirement?

If so, please advise on timing of the K1 application and how the two year rule factored into the entire K1 or K3 process.

Can you, say, go to the consular interview and still be under the two year rule...for example, in a perfect world, my fiancee gets her interview in less than 10 months in Guangzhou, China.

I would greatly appreciate being able to email directly or on this blog with someone in my same or similar situation.

Thank you all.
