Hi! :)

Me and my boyfriend and currently trying to find a cheap flight ticket for him.

He is from Springfield, MO, I'm from Slovenia, but we are willing to pick him up wherever (Germany, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Croatia)

If anyone knows where I could find the cheapest possible flight ticket, you are very welcome to comment in here.

Oh, and he could also fly from Kansas City, Joplin, St Louis.

Do you think we could find a cheaper flight ticket, if we just directly contacted different airlines or is it cheaper if we book it online?

Thanks guys.

my lover is mine and i am his.

Priceline is great if your flight originates in the US. You can bid $500 and see what happens. There are other tricks like use a small credit card that won't hold the whole fee and then they will email you and tell you if they'll take your bid, and ask for another card. That way you can choose if you want the ticket or not, and you'll actually see the flight itinerary. Works often.

I use the same engine most travel agents use, http://matrix.itasoftware.com/

You can't book using htat, but you can find the best fares, either for specific dates, or for a given month (if it's not urgent that you travel on specific dates but let's say around May).

Then just book using the airline's webpages directly.

Benefits: 1) you can find the best combo directly (what do you think kayak and the others use?), 2) if anything goes wrong, you can deal directly with the airline. That's a big plus. At least I rather deal with the airlines than with a third party, thanks to a few major hiccups with airline hassle that ebookers didn't really help at all with. 3) booking direct via the airline is the same price or cheaper than using a third-party site.

AA has often a bunch of interesting deals for Europe, see if any of these would also suit you http://www.aa.com/homePage.do
