Hi Fellow Haitian embassy VJ'ers,

Were reaching the home stretch and we want to make a good end of this. :blush:

So my question is which doctor should we choose in Port au Prince for the Medical exam?

I know Dr. Michel Théard is a complete NO!!!! Someone recommended Dr. Jean Hénold Buteau but my husband was told he is located in a dangerous area. :blink:

So that leaves Dr. Eddy Jean Baptiste and Dr. Victor A. Bernard Bouchereau. Has anyone used either of these two? and Is Dr. Michel Théard the problem or is it the whole office because Dr Eddy Jean Baptiste works in the same office...

I talked to my friend Nicole who just went through this a couple months ago and she told me that the 1st doctor on the list is the best one. Just like you said about Dr. Theard I read the same review on him too so I'm also staying away from him too. I pray someone who've been through this process recently would give you more advice. Another thing about Dr. Buteau I understand he is in a dangerous area but maybe if your Hubby could find someone to drive him there and stay with him it would make things better because I think he is the 1st on the list of Docs. and with Him people are reporting results are coming back in 1 week. I Pray you find more answersblush.gif

I'm am papunmanmu's friend Nicole my husband went to Dr. Jean Hénold Buteau and got his results within a week or so. I just asked him if he was located in a bad aread and my husband said he's not. I know he wouldn't have gone to that doctor if he was in a bad area. We went for the fiance (K-1) visa I'm not sure if there's a difference in the medical exams for the visa you are getting or not. But I pray everything works out great for you guys!

I can't believe there doctors are taking advantage of people like that. My fiance picked the doctor that was closet to him. Once I get the exact name of the doctor I'll post it.

That bad guy should be reported to the embassy and be taken off the list!!

Yes you are right about reporting that Doc. I will have to write the person that went through it and ask her to report him ASAP because there's a lot of others who are going through this process who are not on Vj and that's not fair that he is scamming us and the US and Haitian governments. I called NVC and had a nice chat with the Rep last night and she really made some points to me she explained to me that because most of our PAP apps are being expedited because of the earth quake now it takes longer to get interviews because of the long lines so now i understand more. I really think it's good to always walk travel in groups while in Haiti either one lives their or visiting. I pray all is well for all of us,.good.gif

Thanks for posting such a great question Research, again this information from the Haiti portal is awsome... :thumbs: . I also made time to read the review for Sept 5th and it's sad that situation happened. Glad to know ahead of time the pitfalls to avoid.

i WANT TO, i JUST GOTTA FIGURE OUT HOW! I SPOKE TO A LAWYER HERE. BUT EVERYONE IS SAYING THAT ITS BEST TO WAIT UNTIL I GET MY RESULTS SO HE DOESNT MESS UP MY FIANCEES PAPERS

you're right about waiting because you do not want to provoke him to mess you guys up some more. But yes It will be a good thing to do that and hold on to all the receipts.
