Hi everybody,

My journey is almost over...Today was the AOS interview. It went very smoothly, better than I expected to be.We were in the same room with my husband. The officer did not ask many questions, she just went thru the applications form, asking me questions to confirm the information, when we met and how we managed to organize so nice wedding for so short time. Then she took some photos and our joint bank acccount statement and health insuranceto to make copies and that was all. How long does it take to receive the green card, she did not mention anything, just took my I-94 and did not take EAD?

Thanks for all your help thru the last year! Visa journey is great site!

Congratulation for a smooth interview.

But you didn't mentioned what the IO said.(you written he didn't said anything)But something he might said.

you're approved, or you will receive a decision in 30 days/60 days etc, or handed you a printed paper with some information describing decision, or just said congratulatons or said how to remove your condition before 2 years of your GC.

It's common to take pics, I-94 and copies of joint documents.

Please let us know what his last word, did he escorted you out from his office, etc.

Please check the USCIS website with your notice no, is it updated with some thing.

We can't say anything unless a clear picture.

Hi there,

It sounds like your interview went well and it is always a good sign if they don't ask many questions. That was the same for me as well and that usually means they have everything they need in the file. After my interview was done I received my green card within a couple weeks. If you have a receipt notice from USCIS that they would have mailed you, you can go on to the USCIS website and track status of card. They don't usually take your EAD either as I still have mine in addition to my greencard. Congratulations that all went well for you.

The letter that we are given says " Further review of your application". I guess this is what everybody gets?

Not necessarily. We interviewed in San Francisco, and the letter we were given at the end said "approved". However, in most cases when a K1 get's a "further review" letter it just means the IO's supervisor has to approve it. Check your case number online over the next couple of days and see if changes to "card production ordered".

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

My interview was on Aug 24.The IO gave me the letter 'Further review and receive a decision within 60 days".

When I check my status is still Interview and testing.

Our I-130 also in intitial review.

They receive my application on May 23,2011. The time line for I-130 is 5 months minimum.

I thought they are waiting for I-130 to be approved then they approve the 485.

I need suggetion for this.

On the paper that we were given it does not say any time, only "further review". I don't rely on the online status checking because I already got my EAD card but it still says "Decision". It is useless, they don't update it on time.

I don't have any experience with I-130.
