I have been checking for almost 2 months solid, I also got my pkt 4 the last week of July and wish I would have checked immediately. However (unaware of how big of a pain in the butt this is) I thought it would be wise to get me medical first (so I knew when to schedule)...tried forever to get it in Montreal (kept getting an answering machine) and then finally got one in Toronto. Soo I didn't start checking until the first week of Aug with no luck...Hoping everyone can start getting appointments!!!!!

I don't know if this means anything, but right before the last batch of appointments became available, the website was down for maintenance. I set my alarm for when it was supposed to come back online, and then refreshed for an hour when they all popped up. Might be coincidence but worth noting!

Good luck!

i had a quick question, in order to see any appointments available do i need to make an MRV payment? or do i need to see an appointment and then i would be able to pay the MRV fee. I have been checking the website and refreshing for about 2 weeks and nothing shows up. It feels good to know that i am not alone in this. i hope we see something soon. will definitely let you know.

I paid my MVR payment over the phone and was given a confirmation number. I was told that once an appointment is available, then I will be able to enter in my confirmation number. Hope this info helps.

I paid the $420 fee at the consulate when we submitted the I-130, this is the MRV fee correct? All I have is a tiny little credit card receipt with a receipt number... will this be the number I need after the appointment comes up? Fingers crossed!!

Hi Everyone, I too have been playing the refresh game and am hoping for an appt in the next set that opens up. I just found this site recently and so grateful for that - although I'm a bit of a novice to posting and viewing so hoping I'm not going to miss the notice when the next set of appts open up. Question if anyone knows............I'm now in receipt of Pkt4 so booking appt for interview. I was planning on moving back home with my parents for a bit - they are in Manitoba and I'm in Ontario. Which means.......my Montreal case would have to get transferred to Vancouver - or would they do this or would I have to start the paperwork all over again? I will ask the consulate but just wondered if anyone knew how it would work if you move to another Province during the process - especially one that moves you into another Consulate? Seems there is so much great knowledge on this site I thought I'd put it out to the group. Thanks for any info you can provide. :)

If you actually have a valid reason to switch to Montreal you are one of the few lucky ones!!! Just have to get your proof of residency and reason for moving there and they will transfer you to Vancouver, which is way more organized then Montreal and only like a 2-3 week wait for an appointment!! I don't know much about the transferring process but I'm sure someone can tell you more! I'm jealous if you get to transfer, Montreal is a joke, lol!!

Thanks! Yes, my parents are elderly and need some help and I'd need to be there for a few months so thought I would just move there - as I'll be leaving Ontario anyway. I wasn't sure if I could move during the process but it might work out after all. I'll inquire on Monday I guess. Once I find out I can post something here.
