Tel Aviv was the capital, and is still the city recognized to be the capital worldwide. Israel occupied and annexed Arab East Jerusalem and declared it all theirs (they don't occupy the lands of others ), then declared it the capital of Israel, despite one of those pesky UN admonishments. So, with that kind of ####### going on, hardly any nation recognizes it as the legitimate capital. That's why they won't move their embassies there.

I apologize as I thought it was Tel aviv and should have looked it up. I was reading an older book last week where it said that the end of times would come when Jerusalem would become the Capital and the Temple was rebuilt.

Yeah I just went and read how Jordan controlled East Jerusalem and attacked the Western part on the second day of the war. After much fighting Israel took and annexed the Eastern part. Even read where the U.S. bought some land to build an embassy but hasn't dared to build it. Pretty touchy. Also read where Israel "begged" Jordan to not attack.
