True but if were are to be accurate to the definition of RINO we would have to agree Ron Paul is a RINO as well, he just comes from a different angle that the typical left-leaning rino.

Ron Paul gets a well funded opponent every election to try to unseat him in the GOP primary. The funding comes from the state and national GOP. Of course he wins handily every time and goes on to win the seat again.

Perry will get the nod more than likely so stop worrying about Ron Paul as he has no chance in hell. Perry will be very much in tune with the status quo.

It's funny, people are usually more level headed when voting on a local election. They realize that a 10 term congressman is infinitely more valuable to them as constituents than a freshman whose only discernable skill is badmouthing someone.

True but Ron Paul is not liked by his own party and rarely gets the committees to be of help to us here. The main things is that we know how he is going to vote on anything. We know we will not get earmarks. And the strangest thing is that his district is heavy on farming and he is against subsidies for farmers. The farmers and towns still go with him The GOP sends someone that promises us a lot but we still vote Ron Paul in.

You may well be right but, Ron Paul won't be rejected by the Right because he is right on so many things, he will be easy to discount with his Libertarian stuff, such as repeal of drug laws.

IF he did get the nod... I would vote for him.... who would want to miss that?

Actually what is the one thing that I have heard over and over on why he is so crazy is his views on the Federal reserve and the abolishing of the I.R.S.

There are others in the GOP and even the Democratic party that also think we should stop the war on drugs.
