Hi everybody,

we have been approved on July 18th :)

My fiancé received a letter on August 11th from the NVC stating that the US embassy will soon send me a packet....

its take about a week for the US embassy to received our Original packet (....August 18th....)

18 days later.....September 5th, nothing in my mailbox :(

according to the "Step-by-step guide on How to File for a K-1 Visa for your Foreign Fiance(e)" http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guidehttp://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

the last section : "What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): "

#1 : he needs to send me the copies of our original packet right ????

#2 : "originals of the documentary proof" ??? does it means he will have to send me his original birth certificate, passeport, etc... ?????

#4 : he has to, himself, download the I-134 Affidavit of Support form, fill it out and send it to me, right ?????

So what kind of packet the US embassy is sending me then ????

Thank you so much for your respond

He should send you any original evidence that he sent in with the petition, as well as copies of the forms. He shouldn't send you his birth certificate or passport, but he should send you evidence of a relationship/evidence of meeting in the last 2 years.

Yes, he needs to fill out an I-134 and sign/date it as well as send you the supporting evidence such as tax returns, pay stubs, letter from employer, etc.

Packet 3 will likely be more forms that you will have to fill out and send directly to the consulate.

If you're curious about where your petition is, give DOS a call. Have your case number handy.
