Getting ready for interview soon I hope

So we had passport Photos done, which was harder and more costly

then I expected, But the problems now is

She wore a blue shirt with white horizontal strips.

So My worry now is this will not be acceptable to Embassy.

Because of the striped shirt ??? :bonk::bonk:

Or should I have her retake the Photos $ 20 Euros or

run with the one we have ???

and risk them being rejected ???

thank you

I would personally do the photos with a solid color, but looking at the requirements listed below, I don't think stripes will matter.

Your passport photo must be:

  • In color
  • Printed on photo quality paper
  • 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size
  • Sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (between 25 and 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head. View the Photo Composition Template for more size requirement details.
  • Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance
  • Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background
  • Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
  • With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open
  • Taken in clothing that you normally wear on a daily basis:
    • Uniforms should not be worn in your photo, except religious clothing that is worn daily.
    • Do not wear a hat or head covering that obscures the hair or hairline, unless worn daily for a religious purpose. Your full face must be visible, and the head covering must not cast any shadows on your face.
    • Headphones, wireless hands-free devices or similar items are not acceptable in your photo.
    • If you normally wear prescription glasses, a hearing device or similar articles, they may be worn for your photo.
    • Dark glasses or non-prescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons (a medical certificate may be required)
    • Glare on glasses is not acceptable in your photo. Glare can be avoided with a slight downward tilt of the glasses or by removing the glasses or by turning off the camera flash.

Hey worst case scenario the Dublin embassy has a pharmacy right across the street which does the US embassy passport photos, 2x2's. So if she wanted she could go early and get them done in there, or she could chance the interview and be told they wont accept them and they usually send people across the street anyway and allow them to come back! And i think they cost maximum 12 euro there if you wish to have copy emailed to you also, but if not i think they are about 8 EURO.

Good luck with everything now, your getting close! We just started!!

My 0.02 cents for what its worth, go get some more photos, at least when your in the embassy, your in and only leave once the interview is over.

Save yourself the panic. definately worth the €10-€15.

Thanks

I was thinking about doing that the morning of interview.

Hope to get there early and 8 Euro is better then 20 they charged in Wexford .
