ok, enough already. I trust her more then anyone here understands.

I think I need to open some "eyes" so to speak...

Maybe not explaining my issue here is a problem...

But I am just so very very tired of not being able to explain my issue...

I suffer from optic atrophy...

Thanks for the comments. As far as I am concerned, I am just going to let it go. If I was completely blind...

More THAN, not more then.

Apparently you are not going to let it go. And then we get FIVE PARAGRAPHS about your eyes? The other poster was right, this is about your ego. No one cares about your money or your nationality in the PI. Now you play the handicap card. Are you for real? What next? Stay tuned as they say!

News flash: You are likely small potatoes. You appear to need acceptance because of, well, anything you can think of. No one here is going to coddle you. You give the truly disabled a bad name. How about stopping the me me me whine for a while?

Here in America, as far as I know - and someone correct me if I'm wrong - we don't have names for American women or men like in some other countires like the Philippines, other names for them like pinay/pinoy or Filipina/Filipino. If we did I'm sure they would be used the same way as pinay/pinoy

mmmmmmm....yes we do....the male word used in America (English)= man / boy and the female word = woman / girl..... Right?

:o Wait a sec!! Has someone changed the English language and I wasn't informed?! :o:unsure: I better check the online dictionary immediately!! I'm gonna be so pissed!!

 Pheeeewww. Nope...the words are still the same. I was really worried.

According to Merriam - Webster....,

Definition of MALE

1a: a male person : a man or a boy

and According to Wikipedia...,

A woman (/ˈwʊmən/), pl: women (/ˈwɪmɨn/) is a female human. The term woman is usually reserved for an adult, with the term girl being the usual term for a female child or adolescent. However, the term woman is also sometimes used to identify a female human, regardless of age, as in phrases such as "Women's rights".

(apparently the definition for female is more complicated and requires more words to describe. Who wudda thunk that? :hehe: )

:wow: ...for a moment....you really had me questioning my grasp of the English language. You're a tricky trickster. :P Yes You Are.

BTW....just thought to mention.... :innocent:

Pinoy = Male

Pinay = Female

and what did we learn today? Male = man or boy and Female = woman or girl. ;)

Silly wabbut...trix r 4 kids! :jest:

whew! i made a lot of time only to read this thread..and i must admit this one is very interesting..i'm glad that there are still a lot of american who did not tolerate the behaviour of their fellow buddy! I salute them for understanding the policies here in the phils as well as respecting us too.

Lessons learned!: Think first before you speak and be humble.just accept it and apologize for the wrong doings. We understand that you are under pressure at that time but that is not an excuse for saying rude things about the people here in the Phils esp the policies that we imposed here. Me personally, i was offended on what you say here. I bet if we say something Bad about your country or to your fellow american too you will get offended also?

I hope we learned something from these..next time be more extra careful on what you will going to say.Still, goodluck and i hope this wont affect your journey... (L) (L) (L)

As a person living in the philippines ive learned you just have to accept whatever it is. Even if its backwards by our standards or makes no sense (which is often) , you just dont have a choice but to endure it.

But while you are in manila find some nice things to do, Mall of Asia, Robinsons mall are both nice, plenty of things to do and places to eat. Check out intramuros, its cool and the area is nice (has a starbucks)

Also keep attitude in mind, the more you panic and feel out of place the more you will be treated that way. I think its just the initial shock of being here , takes about a week to get over it.

My wife has to hear me complain all the time, i try to keep it at a minimum though

Just be happy you dont have to do any banking here ;)

Very sensible advice.

It is so much easier to change yourself, than to change, say... ~94 million people. The sooner you accept it, the better.

I definitely agree with you about panic and feeling out of place! It's like sharks sensing blood. OTOH, if you embrace the culture and show a desire to learn more about it, the more people are accepting of you.

Banking IS a pain! I really don't miss that part. Waiting literally hours to make a transaction. But you know...some Dept of Licensing/DMVs here in the U.S. are just as bad!

When you go to St. Lukes for Meical Exam, do you need to have a scheduled appointment or walk-ins are allowed?

If appointment is needed, how do you do it? Do you need to call St. Lukes? do they have an online appointment?

Preregistration link this is to fill in info prior to the physical provided it's for an immigrant visa. This should save you some time.

I wonder IF your wife knows how you insult the Philippines. Do your co-workers know? Does your wife's family know?

Where do you live? Oh yea, the Philippines. DUH!

How can you be married to a Filipina, live in the Philippines and DEGRADE the country and people by labeling PI behavior as "insane"? If you're not happy, then get out of the Philippines. In fact, with your attitude about the Philippines, I bet you could raise 'MOVING' funds from Filipinos happy to see you leave.

Your post is a three bonker too. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: Nah, you deserve four. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: New record. You're a winner!

LMAO!!! dude you need to get into radio talk show!! This is solid entertainment!
