Did you participate in DragonCon a few weeks back?

Yes, I was at the DragonCon! Excellent as always - I love the "madhouse"!

It's growing bigger every year.

I attended the Con the first time in 2005 and I'm coming back to back since.

My introduction to the Con was riding on Marta through little five points station when participants came on board - Darth Vaders, Jedis, Storm Troopers, Ewoks, a Wookie, any number of Star Trek personnel, all sorts of weird aliens and one guy with this really incredible scooter that was made to look like some sort of hover scooter with a control panel at top - it really did appear to hover - very, very effective. They crowded in until there was no breathing room and then all got off at the next station. Some of the costumes were superb and some weren't but what a delightful ride that was!

Irina and I plan to be there around 1 p.m. and stay for just a little bit. I want to get back home and watch the Falcons game. We will not be wearing any sort of Victorian costumes. Looking forward to meeting some fellow VJers!

It will be great to see you and Irina again, Steve . Yeah, this event is like that - you can come for a little or a lot and still have a great time!

So, just a reminder to everyone else in the area who would like to come - you are more than welcome! Looking forward to seeing you all - we will set up a sign that says 'Visa Journey' on one of the picnic tables in the 'entertainment' stage area. Just follow the signs to the middle of the park and you should be able to find us. Enjoy the various displays along the way as well - there is lots to see and do.

Missed it this time. i was thinking it was on 2nd weekend of October.

it was fun last year, i am sure every body had fun.

i will be in for sure on next get together.
