Of course to debate that.... one must do what we have to.... to make sense of it and that is- Redefine what the word "dignity" even means.

What better way to get society to shut up about the fact that they didn't want to go into this war to begin with than making it the war that was about 'democracy.' Who didn't have a democratic vote though? Who was it that had been pushing a huge movement especially starting in 1913? Women. What better way to shut people up than to give them a little something to keep their mouths shut on the war.

Had that been the case, then the nineteenth amendment would have been revoked immediately!! Prohibition was the 18th amendment however.

We can say that prohibition was repealed because men finally found a reason to drink!

I don't actually. But men who complain that women "aren't like they used to be" are often divorced, promiscuous and into porn. They are also frequently overweight. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it's a far cry from Ward Cleaver.

Well, theres your problem.

1. VJ is not the nation at large, if you are basing you facts from here then you believe half the men in the country are married to women half their age with heavy accents.

2. How do you know such personal details about VJ members to know their weight, marriage history, level of Porn addiction and number of bed partners?

I have been on VJ for quite a while and I know very little about such personal things of the members here. (but maybe I am not as interested in such things)

So do you think that men have as much dignity in modern society as they did 50 years ago? Why is "lack of dignity" a problem for women only?

All I know is that having economic independence is key to having dignity. And no, they doesn't mean being rich.
