That is a good idea. By the way, when I was looking for an alternative to a calling card that would like me a decent per minute charge as the calling card, I found www.megaconecta.com. The charge to Haiti is 19 cents per minute to a landline and 23 cents per minute to a cell, and the good thing is that they don't have a connection charge and you can buy them on line. It also gives you a log of your calls showing the number you call, and the duration of the call. At the end of the month, I put the date range in and I print out all the calls for that month. Good luck!

Hi Mani, I sent the stack along with a sheet counting them all. For example I listed how many of each card I had. I had some Digicel and I had some 100% Haiti cards. Then I made a copy of the stack all together. I kept the copies and sent in the original cards. I put them in a plastick bag and sent them as evidence. Also I made a copy of the Digicel phone log to show how often I put min on his phone.

Hope this helps. Good luck on the rest of the journey my friend.

Just curious but how do a stack of calling cards prove that you called your fiance with them? Some calling cards provide access to your call logs. Without call logs there's not much proof of anything other than you called somebody, is there?

I guess that's true, so do you suggest calling the calling card company's to get a call log sent out?

Well I don't know, does your calling card company keep call logs? If they don't and you still have time before your NOA2 I would suggest finding a calling card that gives you access to your call logs. I use one of the cards from zaptel.com , all their cards don't provide call logs so you have to do a search on their site. I use the Flying Colors card, it provides online call logs which I print out.

Good luck.

You should use http://www.rebtel.com/

I have over a years worth of phone records with them I call a local number and that connects me to my Husband. The thing that is so cool is that they keep all the call logs online it shows that you called your loved ones number in Haiti so it can not be disputed that you called. You can program it to call many different international numbers no pin at all.

So you just dial the local number for example you live in NY you would call 212-111-1111 and it would tell you please wait while we connect your call the phone rings and your loved one picks up. For Haiti its 23.6 cent per min. The Government is charging an extra 5 cent per minute now on all incoming calls to Haiti  !! But it is the cheapest I have found as well as you get the evidence you need that you speak to you loved one often.

You can reload it from your phone quickly so if you are ever out and about but you neeeed to call asap you just dial the number and press 1 1 1 to load $10 worth of credit and talk to your hearts content.

I know I said a lot I promise I do not work for the company I am just so happy to have found them a year ago because I have irrefutable proof that I speak to my husband every day several times a day :D .

Hope this helps

Hi, thanks for the info...but I use a calling card company called...comfi.com... it has the best rates I've seen so far, the lowest for haiti was 16. something cent per minute, and for 10 dollars I get an hour, 20 an hour and a half so on and so forth...they have a variety of cards to choose from so if one doesn't work for you, you can try another one, saturn was the best for haiti, but now I see they have one called el toro, with better rates than saturn...the only thing is they keep all of your invoices but no call log to see where you're calling...I became an addict and was spending way tooo much money on cards so I started to use the regular cards...actually i started to use the digicel cards before they became like 6 min. for 2 dollars, and from there I went to the regular calling cards...but that's what I have now a huge stack of calling cards, from when I stoped throwing them away..I bought a stack for my fiance when I went to haiti and I started a new one for last month with more than a few hundred dollars worth of cards...I mean who else would i be calling that much if it's not your man...or woman...lol...but I don't think those companies offer a call log either..so I'm think of making a collage and sending in a picture of all the cards...atleast I did the best I could....but thanks a million for the rebtel..I did check them out and still comfi.com is the best...I also tried the 40 dollars a month thing myhaitimobile.com..but they suck...signal was always down and still had to buy phone cards..customer service sucked as well...so after a month did not pursue it....but u should give comfi a try...Good luck on everything!!!

Oooh thanks I will try them too, and keep the Rebtel tho for indisputable evidence.. The interviewer is a person who can decide the cards are not evidence. I have read posts where they were rejected as evidence because the person could not prove who they called, with cards alone. It is more money but to have the evidence and get my baby home I will pay the price and try Saturn on the side ;) . I miss the long call it was the BEST!!!
