Hello VJ members,

I have been trying to locate our returning petition and as I looked back in the previous posts, I came across this telephone number as the number to call to track down the pouch number needed to find where the petition is. Any thoughts or suggestions? Comments? all are welcome. Thanks!

Thanks Sam! I have called NVC without getting any results. Although we were told our petition was sent back in July, I feel our petition is still in Nigeria and sitting on someone's desk still!!!!

I am trying to find out where it is? if the petition has made it back? so I may address their reasons and be able to move forward this time around with addressing all issues that caused them to not issue the visa for my fiance in the first place after three interviews.

I have also applied for the Freedom of Information Act and have requested our full file and the reasons why the CO did not give my fiance the visa? this way, WE can make sure we have a stronger footing as we proceed.

Again, I thank you for your constant support and posts, which I truly enjoy reading.

God bless!

Lady L,

I guess its not an easy job for the CO's to figure out which petitions are genuine especially from so called high fraud countries. I know for a fact though that NO consulate ,USCIS,NVC or CO can stop what God has ordained. The worst they can do is delay the process...you will come out with sweet victory. It is well.

My petition took 8 weeks to get to the NVC form the embassy. I think yours is almost close to the time that it supposes to be at the NVC. However they don’t have any time limit to get it to the service center. In other words, they let it to expire before they let you know the received it as a result, you will be filing another petition. From my experience, I would recommend you to get ready to file another one or spousal petition. Don’t waste your time waiting them.

Good luck

My petition was sent back on May16th and the NVC received it on June 29th 2011 and the USCIS sent me a letter that they received it on July 11th 2011, so it actually should only take 45 days for it to reach back to the US. they said I should wait 120 days before contacting them , so I have another 60days before I am expecting a NOIR.

Thanks Love Eth, I appreciate your response. I will be following up this week with our petition and see where it is now. Yes, I do plan to file for another one, or a spousal visa..not sure yet which way to go. I want to wait to get the reason why they denied so I may address those issues in any petition we file next time. I want to make sure this time around we are much more prepared.

Thanks again. God bless.

Please try the I130 petition. Your chances will be better if you married. And most all I130 petitions that go back for review are reaffirmed. I am almost sure we will be affirmed that's why I am waiting patiently for our NOIR (notice of intent to revoke) so that we can get another interview with all needed documents. Trust me.
