Are we getting closer? It looks like the timelines are getting more and more delayed. Is this just a holidays thing? will things pick up soon after? Or could i really take up till April? I have a wedding reception planned for mid July and I was really hoping the wife would be here by then. Otherwise I will have to search for venues again.

Yea the progress I'm hearing about is very disheartening :( I'm getting depressed more and more each day. I want my NOA2 soon. I was hoping to get approval earlier than the 5 month average, but now I'll be happy if we get it by the 5-month mark.

Nope, too soon for me. haven't even got a touch after i request an upgrade but im not stressing. id pull my hair out come Feb 2012.

Gonna see my hubby in 2 weeks for 4 days.

We received our NOA1 on 22nd September. The waiting is so hard...at three month mark now and despite numerous attempts of working out a timeframe...I think its safe to say Im stumped! Good luck all (L)

Are we getting closer? It looks like the timelines are getting more and more delayed. Is this just a holidays thing? will things pick up soon after? Or could i really take up till April? I'd like to think it wouldnt be until April....I am expecting Feb/March. It's such an individual process I'd hate to make assumptions at any point, some people on other forums have been approved in 4 months. :star:

I saw today that there were some members who received their NOA2 today and yesterday after only 27-28 days. It just seems so unfair. They got married later, filed later, but were approved much much earlier than us. Do they just do that to keep their average numbers up?

I have the same feelings/thoughts as you do. A few possible reasons could be that they both had petitions with an approved expedite request, or CSC is working some files in under a month to skew their numbers to maintain their 5 month average. I did notice that both members had spouses from visa waiver countries, maybe they pick those for expedited approval due to the lower rates of fraud? If you really want to depress yourself look at the September K1 filers that are getting approved from the VSC.

07/28/11 - NOA1 for both

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

02/28/12 - Responded to RFE for both(received by CSC on 2/29)

03/02/12 - NOA2 for both(received hardcopy on 3/8)

NVC: (37 days)

03/12/12 - NVC Received both

03/21/12 - NVC case number and IIN received for both & Emailed Choice of Agent for both

03/23/12 - AOS bill invoiced & paid for both

03/26/12 - AOS bill shows paid & AOS Packets mailed for both

03/27/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for wife (sent another for step-daughter via email and express mail)

03/28/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for step-daughter & IV bill invoiced & paid for wife

03/29/12 - IV bill shows paid for wife & IV bill invoiced & paid for step-daughter

03/30/12 - IV bill shows paid for step-daughter & IV Packets mailed for both

04/04/12 - IV Packets reviewed. Checklist issued for Divorce Decree for my wife. Step-daughter's was accepted and her case closed

04/10/12 - Divorce Decree accepted after supervisor review & wife's case closed

04/16/12 - Expedite requested for both cases due to NVC error

04/18/12 - Expedite request approved for both cases and sent to Santiago Embassy

04/24/12 - Embassy received both cases from NVC

04/25/12 - Wife went to Embassy for document review. Interview date assigned for both cases.

04/26/12 - Medical Exam for both. Result - approved.

05/07/12 - Interview date for both. Result - approved!

I'd like to think it was good luck too...I think it they receive so many documents its easy to pick up the first few than deal with ones underneath. I dont think this is a linear process at all and there is no rhyme or reason to how they work. I hope we are all approved by Feb...brings us to the magic 5 month period huh? :thumbs:

I called the NCSC 1800 number today to find out about the upgrade (form LPR to USC) that i sent in. well the lady said 100 words per sentance and non answered my question. I knew I wasn't going to get an answer if it was upgraded or not but hey it was worth a call.

A funny thing is she said i had to wait for a decision to be made on FEb 22 to find out about the upgrade. lolll gladd she thinks id get an NOA2 on feb 22. i think she was just trying to give me hope.

I set the fire to go off in my brain the middle of march. :whistle:

:ot: skype took of the "extras" where you can play games :( no more chess or tic tac toe with my hubby.

Today makes it 4 months since my NOA1 (Sep 7th). This is frustrating!!! My other half was with me for 4 weeks, and went back to the US yesterday :crying::crying::crying:

I guess realistic expectation would be some time in March? People in July are still waiting for theirs so I guess we can't expect it too soon, and certainly not before the 5 month mark.

So 4 months since NOA1 today. I don't think it will be likely to be done within the 5 month mark. I really hope it is soon but this is so depressing. Ijust hope that the NVC is quicker and that the wait for interviews in Montreal are not that long. I really need to have the interview by June.
