I got my NOA2 this evening. I was surprised to say the least. Got a text, hoped it was from USCIS and it just said that action was taken... held my breath until i logged in to find out it was an approval... i felt like time stopped for a split second... Thought I'd let you guys know. I was starting to question if they were making ANY progress into September... Hang in there, all of your approvals are coming up soon too :D

Hi everybody,i filed my I 130 sep 6 and still waiting for my NOA1, Have a question for you guys,i did not mail E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance form G1145 with my docs,my question is:

I had contacted my congressman's office again today a few hours ago and I got a reply just now that my case is currently being reviewed by an officer. I am so excited! I hope it is approved very soon! I cannot wait!

It's on its way... I'm convinced now ;)

I bet you were elated!!!! Congrats! (even though I am quite jealous since our NOA1 is 3 days before yours. Grrrrrr). But happy for you!!!! Hahaha

LOL, i hate how random it is... i like order, with order one can predict, but like someone mentioned before, there's probably stacks of petitions on desks and the USCIS staff go through them very differently. One guy might be still going through Aug, another with a July random, and another more ahead with September... I assume its more than just these 3 though...lol

Well it should only take about 15 mins to look it over soooooooooo crossing my fingers for you and sending a little prayer :thumbs:

Thanks so much for the prayers! I really do hope it is soon. But it will probably be till next week by the time it is reviewed and they update the systems and notifications are sent ... I guess have to be patient a little longer. It could just be that someone was lying when they told me that, probably to keep me from pestering them all the time.

So...tomorrow is my six month mark...

I called the congressman office today (NJ). The lady just asked me for my name and receipt number and said she'd call me back this afternoon. I have a feeling I'll be getting the generic response of "another 45 days" or "we're still working on Aug 2nd" etc...

I've been patiently waiting for six months...its starting to get to me! Ok, thanks for letting me vent. That's all!

I too contacted our congresswoman. We have to fill out a form and send all our information (copies of all our documents) did anyone else have to do this or did you just give name and receipt #?

I just checked the USCIS website... it no longer shows 'Initial activity' but Post Decision activity. What does this mean?

I believe most of them like for you to fill out some sort of Privacy Authorization Form. That gives them the green light to look into your case. The person who I spoke with today only asked for my name and receipt #. She claimed she would call me this afternoon...good thing I didn't hold my breath on that one because she never did....

Just heard back from my congressman today, should hear within "30-45 days". I guess that would be on top of the 189 days I've already waited... Seems USCIS is not being especially receptive to inquiries from Congress members these days, or my Congressman needs to step it up.

Yea, I read that many people received that type of response from congressman/senator's office... Discouraging, lazy, auto-reply that none of us want to hear!!! I never bothered.

A few days before my 5-month mark, they changed the processing times to the "Aug 2" date. Feeling so annoyed and helpless, I stopped being on VJ like a manic and I stopped checking my case status everyday. It helped me to relax and take my mind off things a little. I told myself that it was out of my control. Once you drop your guard you'll get it... LOL, I was absolutely shocked when I got mine last night. I wasn't expecting it for another couple of weeks. Hang in there. It's coming soon. Make sure that you're signed up for email and text alerts from USCiS and try to relax a little. I felt myself overconsumed with thinking and worry and it affecting my sleep and work, as I'm sure others feel.
