We have the exact same NOA1 date. I'm a teacher as well. We are still waiting also for our NOA2. I just called yesterday and they said it could be another 30 to 45 days. I really hope the man was over estimating and that it won't take that much longer. This waiting process is just crazy! I wish you good luck! I know some people are writing letters to their congressman/woman for them to call. I haven't proceeded with that just yet because other people have told me that they will just tell the congressman/woman the same thing they have told us. So frustrating isn't it! Where are you living right now? I'm in Maryland and my husband is in Scotland. Crossing my fingers for all of us!

Hi, I am in Kansas and my husband is in Ireland. I actually already emailed the Kansas congresswoman about a week ago and haven't even received a generic response from them. So disappointing. I guess I don't really need to call if they told you that. Although I called them Feb 14th and they told me exactly what they told you yesterday, wait another 30 days. Do they realize they are playing with people's lives? I'm sure they do. It is so hard. I have seen my husband once since he left here the beginning of August (it took us a month to get our papers in order). Do you get to visit your husband much? I heard that petitioners in another country can't come here while waiting. Is this true? On the brighter side, absence makes the heart grow fonder! =) I hope you get your NOA2 soon (us too)!!!!

Thanks so much for the well wishes :) Our story is similar to yours. We got married on July 1st (very close to your wedding date) and it took us about a month or so to get all our paper work together and check a million times to make sure it was all in order (and even after checking it, it's always hard not to worry that you did something incorrect) and then we got the NOA1 on sept. 15th. They can never truly realize until they go through it all. Maybe if they had been through it before it would go a little faster. It seems like they get insane amounts of applications a day though. We try to see each other as much as we can, but of course the cost of the airfare is ridiculous! (as I'm sure you are well aware of). Luckily since I'm a teacher I was over in Scotland last for the whole summer. Sean (my husband) came over for Christmas for 3 weeks just recently. I am leaving for Scotland for 10 days for Spring break and then I have already bought a ticket for staying in Scotland for the whole summer again because there is no way our visa process is going to be done by mid august with the way it's going now. Sean didn't have a problem coming over to the US at all when he came over for Christmas. I haven't been over to Scotland since the wedding but I'm hoping that I won't run into any problems either (I wouldn't see why I would though since we are applying for him to come to the US). I have heard on here that some people have had problems coming into the US but if you have proof of job, and mortgage and things like that then they usually let you in. It's all craziness what everyone has to go through to get their other half here!

The CSC slows down so much in the middle of the week. We only see plethora of approvals on Mondays and Fridays. I was hoping to get down to below 100 on Igor's list by the end of this week but that is wishful thinking now. I am currently at 125.

Everytime I receive emails for someone's timeline updates I get so excited thinking that another I-130 has been approved. But now it seems like only those at NVC are actively updating their timelines. I feel so jealous of them that they are there already.

Some days are ok but others are tougher than usual. I guess today is one of those tough days for me.

Ok I will go back to being patient.

I thought it was because some people aren't updating their timeline after they received their NOA2. Maybe the timeline goes on the back burner after they get the NOA2 or is forgotten all together. What does everyone else think about this?

Yes, I'm not sure how much value the list has based only on your absolute ranking on it, because it depends on others updating their status as they're approved. A large number of people at the beginning of the list are unlikely to influence your result, as they have either not updated or have been skipped over by the progress of the Centers. It is nice to see your number move up, though!

Sept 9, 2011: NOA1

March 16, 2012: NOA2

April 10, 2012: NVC Case Number Assigned, AOS Invoice Received

April 11, 2012: OPTIN for EP with DS-3032 sent, AOS bill paid

April 12, 2012: AOS Package Sent

April 17, 2012: IV Bill invoiced, paid

April 19, 2012: IV package sent

April 20, 2012: Checklist for AOS asking for letter of employment, response sent

April 23, 2012: Letter approving DS-230, False checklist for AOS checklist

May 1, 2012: Appointment Letter Received (for May 23rd)

May 22, 2012: Interview canceled pending further medical tests

July 15, 2012: New Appointment letter Received

I AGREE!!! While moving up on the list might be a good sign, being at the top is insignificant. If you look at the NOA1 dates of many at the top of that list, they're from early 2011. Seems they've been skipped or haven't updated. Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter. I don't know about the rest of you, but my VJ timeline predicts a solid 1 week. I'm hoping sooner though since not all update their timelines. I feels like there hasn't been much Sept progress during the past few days though, sadly...

Tomorrow is going to mark 6 months since my NOA1 date. I don't know what to do. Last tiem I had inquired through my congressman, I was told to wait to hear somethign by the end of March and then contact them. Should I wait till then or contact them again now? It looks like NOA2 could be any day now so I don't know how much congressman will help.
