Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between March 19, 2012 and March 27, 2012*.

I am 126 on Igor's list now. The target was to get below hundred by the end of the week. I still think it is possible but a little optimistic. I am hoping to get my NOA2 next week.

I am 132 on Igor's list..

I was just looking at the list and it looks like pretty much all the number below 100 are aug or july filers. Why is that? USCIS skips priority dates?

I thought it was because some people aren't updating their timeline after they received their NOA2. Maybe the timeline goes on the back burner after they get the NOA2 or is forgotten all together. What does everyone else think about this?

USCIS does not process all cases in order. It could be that someone's desk has august cases that they are still going through while others have moved on to September stack. Some could also be RFEs that require further actions that is why the petition hasn't been approved yet.

I just received an email and this is what it says:-

This is in response to your inquiry regarding your I-130 Petition for Alien Relative. Case was assigned to an officer for processing. You will receive a Notice of Action that may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice or Request for Evidence.

How long can it be before a case officer responds?

Same with us. So frustrating.

My husband and I are teachers. I am currently working at a university. My husband has been promised in so many word that he would have a job there too if he can get his greencard in time. I am afraid he is going to miss out due to us waiting so long. Is this a good enough reason to expediate? We are very concerned about this. If he doesn't get this greencard in time we will have to move somewhere else..again. any advice? Thanks everyone.

So despite the approvals on the 6th and 7th, I only moved up just one place in Igor's list. I hate it when people who just filed in february get approved immediately while we have been waiting so long.

I think a lot of the "OMG I GOT APPROVED IN 2 FREAKING DAYS OMG OMG" posts are through DCF filers though and shouldn't be thought of as standard...

We have the exact same NOA1 date. I'm a teacher as well. We are still waiting also for our NOA2. I just called yesterday and they said it could be another 30 to 45 days. I really hope the man was over estimating and that it won't take that much longer. This waiting process is just crazy! I wish you good luck! I know some people are writing letters to their congressman/woman for them to call. I haven't proceeded with that just yet because other people have told me that they will just tell the congressman/woman the same thing they have told us. So frustrating isn't it! Where are you living right now? I'm in Maryland and my husband is in Scotland. Crossing my fingers for all of us!
