I finally got a reply from my congressman's office.

Thank you for your e-mail correspondence to Congressman Rodney P. Frelinghuysen regarding your pending I-130 petition for alien relative.

According to our liaison with the California Service Center (CSC), these cases are currently taking six months to be processed. Mr. XXXX’s petition is currently in the queue for an immigration officer to review the file.

If you do not hear from CSC by the end of March 2012, please let me know and I will follow-up on your behalf.

I just checked the USCIS processing time on their website and the I-130(USC petitioning for Alien Spouse) processing time now reads AUG 2, 2011 instead of 5 months :wacko:

grrrrrrrrrrrr

to heck with this ish.. im booking a flight to go see my hubby! cant wait that long csc imma have a melt down.

Yea i just saw that too i cannot believe it last year my briother did the exact same thing and had her here in 7 months total this is rediculous the government is not helping with family unity

Noa1 on September 19. At least my husband is already here. I can't even imaginehow hard it is for those of you away from your loved ones. As it is, I am a mess waiting to get approved. I'm so tired of the saying, "hurry up and wait"!!!! I dont want to anymore!!!!!! Haha oh well. I'm going to go and wait some more now.

I personally see this a good thing- it means for those September filers ( me included ) it confirms there is currently a maximum of two months delay- rather than setting unrealistic expectations of an answer within 5 months.

Agree though, it is disheartening for those of us who's 5 months has lapsed already.

Then again, who knows- you may find your application processed sooner if they continue at current rates of progress.

Its better it says August then July....I am more frustrated that my employers know of my intent to emigrate and it could effect my job in the long run. Still, 6 months to process is better than 7...I have faith things will resolve themselves

My husband is already in the states. Has been for years. We only filed his I-130 since he is in removal proceedings and you must get an approved I-130 before you can ask the judge to drop the removal case and then file the adjustment of status.
